August 2021 Va Guzzi Riders Lunch Meet

Va Guzzisti,
Well, covid numbers are rapidly rising again. As before, I'm not comfortable w/the idea of gathering the group for lunch indoors at a restaurant.
So, the August 2021 Va Guzzi Riders lunch meet will be this coming Saturday, August 14th, 12:00 NOON at Stonehouse Lake Park in Northern Amherst County. Details & a map available:

This will be a nice ride up into the country from most any direction.....but it IS up in the country, there's nothing but a little store on the Nelson/Amherst County line (next to the Piney River) even remotely close by. If you want to buy your lunch on the way it will have to be in Amherst/Madison Heights from the East/South, Lovingston/Nellysford from the North, or Buena Vista from the West.
PLEASE NOTE the 12:00 noon hour...come early, weatherguess has it HOT Saturday, if we get there a little earlier we can be safely home before the serious heat of late afternoon sets in.
It looks like this Covid surge will continue to expand, and another new variant is beginning to make the rounds, so it might be quite some time before we can have our meets in restaurants again. I ask all y'all to keep eyes open for other outdoor locations where we can have our monthly meets. I'm sure many small towns have parks w/pavilions etc. etc. All we really need are a few picnic tables under a shelter (for rainy days). Let me know of any you see/check out that look promising.
