Greetings, Moto Guzzi friends. Today was cool but not below freezing in Amherst, where the December Central Virginia Moto Guzzi Lunch was held. Nonetheless there were some snow flurries in the morning. Happily, the day turned out to be sunny and bright, and three Guzzis and one Beemer (plus two diesel VWs and some other four-wheelers) made the rendezvous at Vito’s Pizza. The riders were Bob Corfield in his Moto Guzzi V85tt, John Howard on his Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Aviazione Navale, Joey Klingman on his BMW R1200R, and me on my Moto Guzzi Convert. Mine was the oldest by several decades and was also the only one leaking oil all over the parking lot. Gotta fix that!

We were joined by Alice Komoroski, Charlies Mullendore, Dave Phillips, and Nate, Keri, Summer, and Bryce Jones, for a grand total of 11, which I think is a great turnout for December. A few of our regulars didn’t make it, and they were missed, but hopefully we’ll see you in January.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. I sampled Summer’s pizza and it was very good. My eggplant parmigiana sub was only average, but it was large and filling. The service was very good, and the conversation around the table lasted for two hours. Perhaps no one wanted to go back out into the cold!

With only a few days until Christmas, I wish everyone a very merry Christmas! I hope you have very special holidays, and I look forward to seeing you in 2025!

Sincerely,

Mike
