Greetings, Moto Guzzi friends. I hope this email finds you well. I’m sending September’s Central Virginia Moto Guzzi Lunch invitation early this month because we’re changing things up a little. Rather than meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month, we’re going to meet on the 4th Saturday so that it coincides with the Virginia Moto Guzzi Campout. The lunch will be held at Hema’s Italian Restaurant in Rocky Mount, Virginia. That’s about 50 miles from the campground. Those who are at the campground and want to take part in a group ride can ride with me; I’ll be leaving the campground at 10:50am. This is the only organized activity of the rally, but it should be a beautifully scenic three hour ride with a break for good Italian food in the middle. Here are the vitals:

Date and time: Saturday, September 27th, at 12:30
Location: Hema's Italian Restaurant, 115 Franklin St., Rocky Mount, VA 24151
Phone: (540) 483-2713

Hema’s is one of the Italian restaurants that where Ron Komoroski liked to hold the monthly lunches. It’s a fair distance from Lynchburg and even further for our regulars who live north or east of there, so I haven’t scheduled any lunches there. It will be nice to visit there again. There was a time when I considered Hema’s to have the second best eggplant parmigiana sub in the state!

If you need to contact me, my email address is mjon...@yahoo.com. My cellphone is (434)-333-8333, but you know how much that’s worth. As always, all brands are welcome, as are non-motorcycle modes of transit. People who are not attending the campout are VERY welcome to join us at the lunch anyway. Don’t think you need to do both!

Ride safe,

Mike
