Manassas/Woodbridge Storm 6-3-10

Crazy storm yesterday, huh? I hope you guys faired well. I was
actually trying to start up this group yesterday when the storm hit,
so I lost everything I posted and had to re-do it all today from
memory :-(
My neighbor's house is now condemned with a huge oak through their
living room. One of their kids needed stitches, but otherwise they are
ok, if exhausted. Of course, people come out of the woodwork when
something like this happens. Neighbors that had never met this family
are now gathered around to get a glimpse of the house and the news
crews have been in my neighborhood filming since the trees came down
around 4:30 PM. Thank goodness, my kids had just come home safely from
school. We did lose our playhouse, sandbox, and part of a fence due to
the wind gusts of 40-60 mph. I'm sure the homeowners' insurance will
love hearing from us...
