Hey guys,

I was deeply searching for the v8's project roadmap, but unfortunately
couldn't find any :(

Is there anything - internal or public - that is or might become
available for public read?

I am really highly interested in the future of V8.

Thanks in advance,
Christian Parpart.

I don't think the V8 project has ever published a road map.

There's no road map for when that policy might change.

The policy of not publishing roadmaps for V8.

In glaring violation of this policy, I'm releasing the following top
secret internal documentation on V8's upcoming roadmap:

2010 - Q2 - Make V8 faster
2010 - Q3 - Make V8 faster
2010 - Q4 - Make V8 faster
2011 - Q1 - Make V8 faster
2011 - Q2 - Make V8 faster
2011 - Q3 - Release quantum entanglement device
2011 - Q4 - Make V8 faster

If this trend continues into 2012, our programs will finish running before we actually start them.

In my own (very simple) tests, v8 is almost 200 *times* (not percent) faster than SpiderMonkey at calling functions (at least, when the functions are called many times in loops).

In fact, i think v8 should take on a slogan, something like "v8: it's fu<<ing fast!"
