Hello,
I apologise if this seems like a dumb question, but I'm trying to figure out how to get a stable version of the V8 source using depot_tools and fetch?

I've been to:

https://omahaproxy.appspot.com/

and established that I need the stable branch/version

4.2.77.19

but how do I fetch that particular branch and its dependencies (namely ICU) using depot_tools?

fetch v8 ???options???

Thanks,

M.

After
fetch v8
do
cd v8
git checkout 4.2.77.19

However, I do not see 4.2.77.19 (just 4.2.77) in the repo[0].

If you replace the `git checkout 4.2.77.19` command with `git checkout
-b 4.2 -t branch-heads/4.2`, you'll have a local branch tracking the
upstream 4.2 branch (which is at 4.2.77.20 now.)
