Proposal / design doc: optimizing big BigInts

I am proposing to include more scalable algorithms (Karatsuba etc.) for large BigInts in V8:

I really like the idea of an engine-independent library. Also, is the prototyping you've done available anywhere (just for my own curiosity)?
