Hi,

First off im a big fan of the V2 Whiteboard. I was wondering if there
was a way it could be made to remember its state in a perminant
conference room in Spark. I have people coming in and out of my
meeting rooms very regularly and the problem is that the whiteboard
doesnt seem to remember all the information on it when a new person
joins the group chat.

Is there a way to allow the whiteboard data to be written back to the
chat server somehow so the information is retained rather than being
lost when the session closes?

Is there also a way to create icons that you can use to place around
the picture like arrows?

Is there a way you can import a picture and have it keep its aspect
ratio?

I'd dearly like to get some help with this as your whiteboard with
Spark is a very powerful tool.

Hi,

We're glad to hear you are using and enjoying the whiteboard.

1. remember its state
Would this be for the duration of a group chat in which case you need
to refresh latecomers with the state of the drawing
or
are you asking that the drawing state be kept permanently, for days or
weeks, for example.

2. create icons
In other words, create your own set of icons and import them for
usage? We'll have to give that one some thought.

3. keep its aspect ratio?
That is on our to do list. Good idea.

Thanks, Larry

Sorry to intrude on Q/A but didn't know group was active.

Wanted to say a big **thanks** to developers for the wonderful app.

Thanks Dave. We're still around. Just got a little busy on some other stuff. Glad you like it.

After we got spoke, I went and DL'd the 0.4 and now I can't find it in the Plugins Update.

I do see a whiteboard.jar in the Plugins dir.

What did I need to do that I didn't do to get it to activate?  Do all the files go in the Plugins dir?

Thanks; still a great app. I'm just messing something up.

Hi Dave,

What version of spark are you using?
What OS are you using?

You might try shutting down spark, deleting whiteboard.jar and the
whiteboard directory. Then copy the new whiteboard.jar to the plugins
directory and start up spark.

Got it! That worked. Sorry to bother you when that solution was mentioned on
the web page. I actually had to reinstall Spark but that was because I
messed it up first time. Thank you! A wonderful application.

Hi again Larry!

I'm trying to use the VoIP feature.  I loaded the plug-in in the Spark clients (I have two machines networked and have Spark on both). They can 'chat' and Whiteboard (thank you Larry!) and everything but I can't get the SIP Plug-in to show.

Have you used the SIP feature?

Hi Dave,

Sorry, no I haven't used the sip feature. Have you tried removing the whiteboard plugin to see if it is interfering with the sip plugin? I can't think of anything that would cause interference since the plugins are pretty much isolated from each other. Removing the whiteboard would at least remove one variable in your troubleshooting.

Hope this helps,
Larry
