Hello,
First of all I'd like to say that your plugin was the deciding factor
on choosing to use openfire with spark for our company wide
conversation needs, and has proven to be an invaluable tool for us.
I run a 3D animation firm and the majority of our workers work
remotely so strong communication and collaboration is absolutely
vital.
We use the whiteboard for a lot of different scenerios but have found
it to shine the most when giving 3d modelers direction and feedback
since they can take a screenshot of the 3D application, save it to a
file, bring it into whiteboard and I can mark it up on what needs to
change/improve/etc.

With that said, a shortcut in whiteboard to be able to take a
screenshot and place it on the board (exactly the same way the builtin
"capture and send" button works for normal chat windows) would make
life even better. I'm guessing this would probably be very easy to
impliment since the code already exists for normal chat windows.

Other minor requests from my team are:
ability to change line widths
ability to move objects back 1 and forward 1 instead of only
being able to send them to the top or bottom
ability to "lock" objects (like the image being marked up) to
prevent accidently moving it unless it gets unlocked
an additional toolbar to provide quick and easy access to the
above requests as well as a slider to change the currently selected
object's opacity (might make sense to move the color selector there so
object properties would be on 1 toolbar and object creation tools
would be on the other) as well as buttons to move the selected object
forward/backward/to top/to bottom

Again, awesome plugin!

It's great to hear that you are getting good usage from the
whiteboard.

Regarding the screen capture, do you want to paste the entire screen
into the whiteboard at full size or should some scaling take place to
shrink it?

Thanks, Larry

Ideally there would be a button that once the user presses it, it will minimize the whiteboard and spark and allow you to click drag a box around the section of the screen you'd like captured. Exactly like the builtin version works.

The screen capture feature is nice but can be a bit buggy, particularly on Intel based Macs, and is very task specific. We've had requests to add clipboard support to the whiteboard so I think we might take that route first which could be used along with the OS screen capture feature ('PrintScreen', 'Command-Shift-3', etc.) to accomplish the same thing that Spark screen capture button does.

Cheers,
Ryan

Hi ymangolds,

Just wanted to touch base and let you know that we are chipping away
at your wish list. Good suggestions, glad to hear you're getting
mileage out of the plugin.
