Guys be careful out there.

Layed the Strom down pretty hard yesterday near the airport. I posted
a few pictures in the files section. Hurt my knee(contusion & road
rash) and ankle (sprained) due to wearing blue jeans and tennis
shoes. Lesson learned. Even if it is a hot and beautiful day wear
your gear all of the time. The strom is scratched up on the left side
(hand guard, left faring, foot peg broken, givi luggage mounting rack
bent). My Frank Thomas armored jacket and helmet saved a considerable
amount of other possible injuries.

The cause of the wreck was the white substance on the road in the
picture. Looked like plastic beads or fertilizer. I tried to miss
the stuff, but caught the edge anyways and wiped out. You can see
where my front tire stepped out and the skid marks where my bike
slid. I was going about 35 when I hit it.

I rode the bike home afterwards. Definitely a tough bike! :-)

I am glad to hear you are alright. I ride past the airport everytime I
commute to work.
