Hey everyone, I'm hiring for a UX researcher here in Melbourne for MessageMedia. This is the job ad we're running and here's the link. https://messagemedia.breezy.hr/p/bfd3a25d3ba5-ux-researcher
If you'd like more info or just want a chat then I'm on 0459 59 22 01.
It was Einstein that famously said, “If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.”
This kind of approach is really at the core of where we’d like our new Researcher to be operating. We’re looking to hire a special someone who is methodical, customer-facing, and who has that bit of hustle needed to get in front of users to really understand what they’re doing and what they want.
Over the last two years, we’ve transitioned from a Technology led business to a Product led one. Our whole UX approach has matured significantly and this role is really the next evolution of that approach.

In this role, you can expect to lead workshops and interviews to research user journeys and take your findings and ideas through prototyping and into development. You’ll work closely with the Product Development Team in an Agile environment where you’ll own the planning, facilitation, and analysis of User Testing and card sort sessions. Ultimately we’ll be asking you own the CSAT and CES metrics.
To be successful in this role we think you’ll need a background that looks like this;
You’ll find that the teams you work with are committed technologists who are eager learners, conscientious workers, and curators of what’s essential. We’re quick to trust. We see things through. We’re kind to each other, look up to each other, and support each other. We achieve together. We are colleagues, here to do our best work.
Our behaviours of Good Judgement, Customer Focus, Showing Leadership and Staying Hungry are what have made us pretty successful so far. We’re shaping up to become a global force in business messaging so people whose personal values kind of tie in with these will feel incredibly comfortable here and will probably be excited by the value they can add.
If you’ve gotten this far and you are thinking “I’d love to do that kind of work at MessageMedia”, then good for you, it took me ages to write this, so thanks for reading and please apply.
If you’ve gotten this far and thought, “my friend Sue would be great for this”, please let her know!
We believe in workplace diversity and we respond to every application.
