Designer – Design and Experience? Never be bored at work again

This is one of the first times we've been able to introduce mid-range experience designers into the team - which is exciting for Aconex and hopefully you.  You don't need extensive experience BUT you do need at least 2 years doing interaction design and working on user flows.  You will definitly have an understanding of user processes and behaviours and also how to map that to flows.  We should talk about this aspect if you fancy: cly...@aconex.com

You:

  • have been looking for an opportunity to join a world-class UX team
  • get excited about making digital stuff
  • have worked as a visual designer, developer or front end developer in the past
  • have been happily immersed in UX for the last few years
  • are a valiant champion of customers and their needs

Us:

Aconex builds disruptive SaaS products for the construction industry. We're making a tangible difference to the working days of hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

And we'd love your help.

Join Melbourne's largest, most fun in-house UX team. Learn from—and share your skills with - some of the best in the business. And be part of a conscious, evolving UX practice with a market-leading product suite.

Never be bored at work again

As an Experience Designer in our Design and Experience team, your work will be really varied. Some days you'll be rubbing elbows with our close-knit agile engineering teams, making products that users love. Others, you'll be talking with client users in an office around the corner—or on the other side of the world.

In a typical week you might deal with stakeholder feature requests, analyse a process, design a workflow, review feedback on released features, and drive new features in web or mobile apps.

You'll be responsible for:

  • unearthing business requirements
  • nailing down user requirements
  • nutting out business processes, wireframing, and creating interactions and workflows
  • working up interactive prototypes
  • making visual assets
  • diving into usability research, evaluations and testing
  • explaining your design rationale and goals to the engineers and others involved
  • teaming up with engineers to find the best solutions to our customers' problems
  • supporting mobile development teams to put new features into production
