We are currently seeking to hire an Information Architect who enjoys
collaborating within a talented and energetic team to build user-
centric websites, design mobile applications and deliver consumer
insights to our clients. In this position, you will be involved with
the discovery, evaluation, creation, and development of leading edge
interactive experiences.
We need a highly motivated individual with an HCI background, who has
very strong knowledge and experience in one or more of the following
areas (Note that a strong design portfolio including deliverables like
scenarios, interaction flows, sketches, sitemaps, wireframes, and
prototypes, would help us to get some insight into how you think):
Discovery
• Assess client and user needs
• Define target audience
• Analyze the industry
• Gathering information
• Identify content that helps support user goals and business goals
Evaluation
• Heuristic evaluation of client/competitor websites and
documentation
Create
• Concept and strategy for information architecture and user
interface
• User personas
• User segmentations
• User scenarios
• Key user paths
Development
• Content inventory
• Site map
• Flow chart
• Naming and Labeling
• Efficient navigation system
• Wireframes
Job Description
1. Logical, detail-oriented, and creative
2. Keen interest in learning and applying information architecture/
usability, in practice
3. A background in Psychology, HCI, Interaction Design or related
technical field, is preferred
4. Ability to work with clients and users to understand their goals
5. Solid knowledge of the principles of information architecture,
usability, and web-based user experience design
6. Experience observing user research and translating user research
into design decisions
7. Fluent in page layout / prototyping tools such as OmniGraffle,
Visio, or other diagramming tool
8. Excellent communication skills: orally articulate, visually
dexterous and textually clear
9. Familiarity with online analytics and other tools
10. Web 2.0 awareness (e.g. social media, rich internet applications,
mobile technologies, etc.)
