This is not quite related to the book club, but I think you will find this month's Techno-Activism 3rd Monday in Portland quite interesting and I encourage you all to attend. And I'll actually be there in the flesh this time. 

We will have Logan Kleier, City of Portland's Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer talking about the grey areas in the intersection of data, privacy, and government.
