Depends on what you need. I have a set of Prismacolors around for gray shading.You can get a nice watercolorey look from ChartPak's, but they're also ammonia based.

Yeah, I bought a set of these Bic MarkIts for the color selection. They don’t have quite as bad if a toxic smell that Sharpies can have. But still a little.
