Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year

Greetings all!

I would like to send out a quick note to everyone as you are preparing
for another exciting new school year in the media centers across the
state. Hopefully everyone is as excited about the start of the year
as I know my children are to be going! My oldest son, a 1st grader,
has already come home disappointed because although he went to the
library yesterday, his LMS wasn't quite ready for him to check out
yet. He assures me however that it's okay though because she promised
him he could start bringing home books next week!

Hopefully, everyone out there is ready to jump in and start. I won't
keep you long but just wanted to send out a reminder that our new
support system, UWSSLEC2, is still here and ready to help! Please
share your ideas, lessons, and success stories, as well as great new
websites, books, media, etc. We want to hear what is working for you
and what isn't. What new skills are you teaching this week? Which
new technologies are you using?

Let's get a network going so we know what comes after UWSSLEC...
