Greetings from Uganda Women's Network (UWONET).
We are writing to share an exciting opportunity from the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA) Network. SIHA is currently accepting submissions for their annual journal titled 'Women in Islam.' This journal aims to showcase the efforts of scholars, activists, and individuals dedicated to promoting gender-just interpretations of Islamic traditions and texts.
The goal of 'Women in Islam' is to challenge stereotypes surrounding Muslim women and societies by offering a nuanced portrayal of gender dynamics within Muslim communities. They seek to depict the diverse realities faced by women and men living in both majority and minority Muslim contexts.
SIHA welcomes submissions on various topics related to gender in Islam, and articles can be submitted in English or Arabic.
