This session, hosted in collaboration with UN Women, the Indian Development Foundation, MGLSD, and NAWOU, will critically assess economic empowerment initiatives such as UWEP and the GROW Project, highlighting achievements, challenges, and key policy gaps. With over 50% of female-headed households in Uganda experiencing multidimensional poverty, this discussion will explore strategies for strengthening gender-responsive economic programming.
