POLICY

1.00 To maintain the security and integrity in the fulfillment of employment
responsibilites, the following ethical standards apply to all University
Faculty and Staff.
1.01 University data will be managed in such a manner as to ensure
that it will not be accessible to unauthorized individuals and
groups.
1.02 It is the policy of the University to comply fully with both the
letter and spirit of the law with respect to copyright and
patents (e.g. computer software, publications, technology).
1.03 University equipment, supplies, technology, computer software
and facilities will not be provided to individual or groups
without proper authorization [see the policies "Use of
University Facilities for other than Regularly Scheduled
Academic Purposes" (1.1) and "Off-Campus Use of University
Equipment" (2.21)].
1.04 University data, files, communications, and computer software
systems will not be inspected, altered, deleted, copied or
published by individuals or groups not authorized to do so.
1.05 Activities will be conducted in such a manner as to preclude
any form of dishonesty, such as theft or misappropriation of
money, equipment, supplies, documents, computer programs or
computer time.
