Position: Peoplesoft Systems Analyst
Location: Washington, DC

Job Description:
As part of the re-implementation of PeopleSoft 9.1 on PeopleTools
8.52, one of the most important tasks of any project is the data
conversion. As mentioned, the legacy system is a PeopleSoft v8.0
implementation that is heavily modified. The scope/objectives of the
data conversion consultant will include:
Define a data conversion strategy
Lead the overall data conversion process (design the load process,
manage the technical project plan, oversee Quality Assurance)
Perform analysis in order to design and scope out technical
requirements
Learn client Data Conversion requirements and provide feedback on
requirements to the technical team
Produces detailed analysis, test-planning, and technical execution
(maintains overall accountability)
Write and/or review Data Conversion Requirements/Specifications
Refines technical specifications necessary for data analysts to be
able to code conversion maps
Develop the more complex conversion programs using PeopleSoft
technologies like SQR, App Engine, Data Mover etc.
Coordinate off-shore code development
Test all new conversion code using sample population data when
necessary to prove model prior to next round of conversion data
Work with appropriate functional teams to ensure accuracy and
efficiency of data maps.
Partner with the technical team and Project Manager to ensure overall
cost, delivery, and quality targets are met
Consult with team and stakeholders to set realistic milestone dates
for data test and live loads; set expectations and define risks with
regards to data loads and timing; manage day-to-day work-plan
Criteria
5+ Yrs of experience in PeopleSoft admin and upgrade activities
Minimum 2 HCM upgrades to PeopleSoft 9.x
Global Payroll conversion experience a plus
Technical/Functional Skills: Ability to understand the PeopleSoft
specific data conversion requirements and formulate a robust strategy
and solution.
Well versed with PeopleSoft data models of HCM (8.0, 9.0, 9.1
versions) product and have sound SQL and PeopleTools knowledge
Experience in tuning Application Engine sql and other data conversion
programs
Hands on experience in handling real time situations/debugging issues
Working experience with PeopleSoft provided tools like Data Mover,
Integration Broker, Change Assistant, Setup Manager.
Excellent research and problem solving skills to manage the customers’
expectations for the entire lifecycle.
Be able to work independently and interact with different
stakeholders / customers for requirements understanding and solution
design.
Be able to work in teams and possess good team leading / people
skills.
Ability to create solutions and defend them with Customer as well as
Project Architects.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.
