UNIX/WEB: Upgraded corporate web server to apache 1.3.12

SYSTEM: UNIX/CYCLONE SUBSYSTEM: Web server

CHANGE SUMMARY:

The main corporate web server has been upgraded to apache
1.3.12.

For details on the compile of apache 1.3.12 please see the
change notice titled "UNIX/Web: Upgrade of apache to 1.3.12"

CHANGE DETAILS:

created conf file for web server
cd /web/server/apache-1.3.12/conf
cp Default/httpd.conf httpd.conf.www
emacs httpd.conf.www
- filled in the blanks and added all missing
info from old conf file.
- Port set to 8080 and log directory set to
testing.

Updated startup script
cd /web/server/startup-scripts
co -l cyclone.httpd
emacs cyclone.httpd
- update path to executable and conf files
- update pid file location

Brought up test version on port 8080 using startup script.
Tested for a good half hour using port 8080.
Brought down using startup script.
Modified startup script of indicate prod local of pid file.
Modified conf file to set port to 80 and log directory to
normal
Shutdown current version of web server using old startup up
script
Started new version using new startup script.
Tested again.
Checked startup script and conf file into RCS
copied new startup script into /etc/init.d replacing old one.

PEOPLE AFFECTED:

Web users are now using the latest version of apache.

RECOVERY:

Check out old version of startup script.
replace the new one in /etc/init.d with old one.
Restart web server.

This notice and a message sent to support staff.
