Hi everyone,

During our next meeting (Thursday 10/19) we will be discussing chapters 4 and 5 of Finding structure with randomness: probabilistic algorithms for constructing approximate matrix decompositions, Halko et al (link). These chapters are only fourteen pages long so please read them before the meeting. For a bit more background, feel free to skim part 1 (chapters 1-3).
