Initial conversations with folks from our group and some of my
colleagues has given me the courage to get the idea out of my head and
into some others' so that we can start making the idea a reality.
To that end, I have found six people around the state if Wisconsin who
are interested in working with me and WASB to facilitate school board
workshops that:
develop the capacity of school board members to lead organizational
and cultural change in their districts and community for 21st century
student achievement. (BTW, I'd be interested in your comments
regarding this statement. I have come to think of it as my own
private mission statement for this work. I'd like to know what you
think.)
We are currently trying to find a date for a conference call, but it
looks like that won't happen until after the New Year (good thing that
isn't too far away!)

Deb,
Are you interested in involving school board members in this
discussion? I have a very good friend who is definitely on the same
page and happens to be on the Madison school board. Let me know if you
would like the information.
