Hi UW MANIACs!
Some colleagues of mine are facilitating a conversation that might be
of interest to some or many of you. The lens here is on developing a
professional network and community on campus and beyond. Below you'll
find the official invitation.
Hope to see you there, and please help us promote the event by sharing
with all that might be interested.
Thanks!

Our sixth and last seminar for the year in the Principles and
Practices instructor seminar series is coming up next week on
Wednesday, April 18th:
Beyond the Classroom Walls: Developing your Teaching and Learning
Networks
April 18, 2012
3pm-4pm
254 Van Hise
In this seminar, Theresa Pesavento (Learning Support Services) and
Chad Shorter (DoIT Academic Technology) are joined by Dan LaValley
(Digital Media Center) and Jeff Bohrer (DoIT Academic Technology) to
discuss the question:
"How do you learn about new ideas for the classes you teach?"
This panel will present a number of different ways you could get new
ideas from other instructors in your department, in other schools and
colleges on campus, and beyond. Discussion topics will include campus
locations, web sites, and programs that can help as well as using
social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) to develop new
ideas.

Teaching and Learning Networks," please RSVP to
