Position: Assistantship position in Pasture Management

The International Centre for Tropical Agriculture in collaboration with the UWI is seeking a research assistant to participate in a sustainable cattle production project focused on developing approaches to reduce N2O emissions from this sector. Our overall goal is to develop pasture management practices suited to Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

In addition to field-based research, there will be opportunities to participate in the improvement of the DNDC  decision support model for the LAC region. 

REQUIREMENTS: The position requires 1) a basic background in science 2) ability to work independently in the field 3) willingness to travel to field sites. Knowledge and skills in conducting field greenhouse experiments will be an asset but are not required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
