Knox College seeks a Director of Web Initiatives to build and lead the implementation of an innovative online presence that reflects the diverse and vibrant character of the College across the web and social channels. This role requires someone who can work with key offices within the College to find creative and strategic solutions to meet marketing and communication goals, which is particularly important as Knox engages in growth and campaign initiatives. The director is a vital resource in understanding emerging web-based technologies and media—across the device spectrum—that align with established goals. A passion for learning and discovery of new ideas and the ability to deliver solutions on time are vital characteristics for the person in this role.
The position requires five or more years of experience designing and implementing web-based solutions with emphasis on complex interaction design, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, expertise in .NET technologies, fluency with standard database connectivity methods and structures, and familiarity with content management systems (Ingeniux). Extensive experience using the Visual Studio development environment is required. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well in a team environment collaborating with technical and non-technical partners, to multi-task, and to be detail orientated. Strong project management skills are highly valued. While this position resides within the Office of Communications, there is a close working relationship with Information Technology Services to ensure all College technology standards are well understood and appropriate redundancy for support exists.
Knox desires to create and maintain a dynamic online presence environment leveraging emerging technologies. If an opportunity to work, grow, and be a key player in a creative environment is of interest to you, we encourage you to apply.
