Hi everyone,

Dr. Kendall asked us to pass along this invitation, on behalf of the
Veteran's Administration, regarding two upcoming caregivers
conferences--one in Tacoma and one in Seattle. For more information

Seattle (23rd Annual VA Caregivers Conference): Tuesday, November 15,
2011
8:00 am - 4:30 p.m.

The conference will provide information, education, support, and a
chance to meet others facing similar challenges as caregivers. The
focus will be on the needs of family members, friends, and health care
professionals in the community who care for adults with chronic
illnesses and/or disabilities.

Continental breakfast & lunch will be served.

Speakers will include Wendy Lustbader, Master of Social Work (MSW);
Attorneys specializing in financial planning; and Social Workers
specializing in issues that caregivers face.

Resource Information Tables will be provided by community &VA
programs.

Free 15-minute chair massage will be available.


Respite for those needing care is available for the day at two
separate Adult Day Health Facilities in the Seattle and Tacoma areas.

The conference is approved by the National Association of Social Work,
Washington State Chapter. Licensed Social Workers, Marriage & Family
Therapists, and Mental Health Counselors are eligible to receive 4.0
CEUs. Attendance certificates will be awarded at the end of the
conference, Must be present to receive.
