Hello,
My company is developing a non-invasive, wearable medical device to
help people with severe disabilities walk. Recently, we had a woman
with ALS use our device to take her first steps on her own since 2005,
and we had a man who was three months post-stroke immediately walk 40%
faster when he used our device. We'd love to be able to report more
success stories like this, but to do that we need to recruit more
research participants. If any of the caregivers on this forum care for
individuals with walking difficulty that might like to participate,

Research Subjects Needed – People who have Difficulty Walking
Who? People with mobility impairments due to stroke, multiple
sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, or other
conditions.
What? A noninvasive, wearable medical device to provide assistance to
muscles while walking.
Where? Cadence Biomedical (Fremont neighborhood of Seattle) or
PotentRx (Capitol Hill neighborhood
of Seattle)
Why? To determine the effect of a novel device on improving mobility
for people with mobility
impairments.
How long? One testing session lasting about 3 hours.
