Let's grow the UWC - NYC Alumni list

Hello UWC Friends, 

As of today we have 56 members in this e-mail list for UWC Alumni living in the NY Area. (you can check who's already on the list here: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!members/uwc-nyc )

I know there's a lot more of us out there. 

So i encourage you to reach out to all the UWC friends you have that live in the city and ask them to join. 

You can ask them to send a blank e-mail to:

Or you can give me their e-mails and I will add them. 

If you get 10 or more people, I will cook you brownies and bring them to you at the next SSS (they are cooked from scratch and are delicious, Kristina can vouch for me). 

We are gearing up for UWC day on Sept 21st so we want to have as good an e-mail DB as possible. Please help us get there!

Hi Raghav and everyone else,

We will be having an event for UWC day on Sat, Sept 21st. We want to have a panel with older alumni that have been successful in different fields and after that we will break into smaller groups. The main topic we want to discuss is how to strengthen the UWC Alumni network so that we do more than just social events. 

We still need to hammer out the details before we circulate the agenda but it'll be a fairly simple event followed by happy hour. We've already got some space from NYU for the event and I will be soon creating a more official event page.

Here's where I can use everybody's help. Do you know older UWC Alumni in the NYC area from different fields: business, academia, NGOs, arts, etc? Ideally they'd have at least 10 - 15 years of experience. 

If you do know of somebody (or you yourself are interested in talking). Could you e-mail me? 

We'd like to have 4 - 5 panelists.

On a separate note, does anybody want to host the August SSS? (We can do it any weekend in Aug that is convenient for you) I still haven't gotten any volunteers and I've been a bit busy to really follow up and 

pester people
