[UW PSA]

Hello Everyone,

The UWaterloo cricket club is  looking to get the summer 2008 cricket season started shortly.This term we will have both indoor and out door cricket tournaments, but on a slightly different format. The idea is to replicate the Indian Premier League, and form our very own Waterloo Premier League.

All the teams participating will be randomly formed from the registered players for the summer 2008 term. This will increase competition, as the teams will be evenly matched.

Anyone who is interested in playing cricket this summer under the UW Cricket club will need to register in person with a fee payment of $15/person on Tuesday May 20th, 2008.

Please note that we will not be adding players once the teams have been formed. Every member will get a membership card for this term to participate in the tournaments.

Once everyone has registered we will categorize every player under two classes A and B (Batsmen or Bowler).

The teams will be formed randomly on a given day and anyone who wants to attend the meeting may do so.

We will have a large room booked for that meeting. Once all the teams have been formed, each team is expected to conduct a separate meeting to decide their captain and the team name.

Details regarding the format of the tournament and outdoor/indoor schedule will be mailed along with other rules regarding each tournament.

For now everyone has to register by Thursday with a fee payment of $15/person. There will be a booth setup on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 pm to 5 pm. Everyone is expected to show their watcards at the time of registration.

Co-op students who are interested in playing cricket this term, may register at the booth on Tuesday, or send an email money transfer to uwcric...@gmail.com. You will have to send another email informing the security password for the money transfer.

Please note that the fee for co-op students is $20/ person.
