Hello University of Waterloo HFES Group,

 

IUW 2018 is fast approaching, and so we would like to remind you about some important dates and information:

 

• Abstract submission will close TOMORROW Friday, November 2, at 11:59 pm. Please encourage all student researchers in human factors or related fields to present their work as IUW is a great opportunity to boost presentation skills and meet potential collaborators! Feel free to promote IUW to related departments in your universities (i.e. labs doing psychology, UX design, human-computer interaction, etc.)
• Please also note that the deadline for registration for the conference is November 12, 2018. Register at iuw2018.eventbrite.com.
• Career opportunities: to all those who are interested, our gold sponsors, CIBC and Healthcare Human Factors, will be at IUW 2018 to recruit, as both are currently hiring.
• DRDC tour: We would also like to remind you about the tour of the Defence Research and Development (DRDC) Toronto Research Centre, which will take place on Friday, November 16 (the day before IUW) and is only limited to students who are U.S. or Canadian citizens. The registration deadline for the tour is on November 5, 2018 at noon. If you’re interested, please sign up ASAP as spaces are limited.
