Hi Folks,

Is it just me (i.e., my modem), or does anyone find it a lot easier to
download w/ Kermit than upload? I always get a lot of retries and "no
response from the host" errors when I upload.

Rog.

In article <RCHEN.107...@MECHANICAL.watstar.uwaterloo.ca>,

This _MIGHT_ be a sign than you haven't properly enabled hardware flow
control on your side. When downloading, your machine is probably fast enough
to handle the data, even if it's not set up properly. In my experience,
uploading sometimes needs more setup work to go at full speed (although I
haven't used kermit much - do you have any other protocols available like
zmodem?).
