Hi,

I have a couple of questions that have been bugging me:

Is it more environmentally friendly to use a sink waste disposal unit than
throwing food waste in the bin? I already compost non-meat stuff.

Also, does anyone have any good links to sites with info on what happens to
recycled materials, in particular plastics.

I would ask my local agency that oversees waste disposal.
You could ask them what happens to the waste that goes
through the waste water system after it has been treated.
What happens to the gas and runoff water from the waste
disposal site. Then it is your call. You do not produce that
much waste of this type so you can neither save the world or
destroy it. The same agency could answer your questions
about plastic.

Thanks for caring.
