Affecting: All uses of the campus backup system with the machine hoover
with old ip address 128.97.128.9 .
During and after this time, users will not be able to recover and backup
files unless they alter their firewall configuration (also entitled
IPsec in Windows) as well as backup server name to the new name/ip as
required.
The name will remain the same as hoover, however the alias of
hoover-uwnet may be removed. The new IP address will be 129.97.129.70
currently registered in DNS as hoover-129.
Anyone under the xhier system using hoover will have the package updated
to reflect this change.
Reason: To remove trunking of the 128 VLAN to our remote backup
location. We have created a small /28 subnet for the backup room.
