Hi,

I haven't been able to FTP into the undergrad servers from home (rees,
fitch, mgc2000, cpu01). They seem to have been down for the past few days.

If there's no fixes in sight, can someone suggest a way of copying files
into your account without having to send an email full of 20 attachments?

Thanks.
Victor

Try using SFTP (over SSH). E.g. using the Putty PSFTP client available
from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

It's much more secure than FTP.

I would also recommend the FTP service that is part of the mywaterloo.ca
interface. It connects to ftp.student.cs.uwaterloo.ca, so you might have
some luck with that. I've found that ftp method a good way, when other
services fail.

cheers,
Khosrow
