Big problems with the labs

Three machines in the graphics labs are having SEVERE issues. gl9, gl13,
gl14.

At first I thought it was my userid, because gl13 started going funny
while I was using it. So I logged off and then it repeatedly started
changing display modes. So I tried to log on to gl13...then it didn't
log on, it started flickering displays.

So I went down to MFCF to get help. To no avale.

I came back up and noticed another machine I have never been on was having
the same problems.

I am not sure who to contact about this. Could one of the TA's please
look into this. With these three machines down and two others having
issues from before, that is a lot of useless machines for an extremely
heavy part of the term.

gl18 also seems to be down in addition to gl9, 13, and 14. In each case
the X server seems to be down, but there's nothing suspicious in the
XFree or gdm logs.
