This has been fixed. The DATA/PRINTER setting was set to MODEM/AUX
instead of AUX/MODEM.
FYI: To reach this setting, press F3, then F4 on the Wyse. This is the
"COMM" menu in the setup screen. If you notice the Wyse not working in
the future it's likely that the cause is some misconfiguration,
usually on the COMM screen. I recommend carefully comparing the
configuration to another Wyse.
Also, the brightness was turned all the way down. This can be changed
by rotating the knob on the bottom right corner of the
screen. Although I doubt this was the original cause of the issue,
when I took realtime there were several times when someone would gasp
in horror at the non-functioning Wyse terminal, which turned out just
to have its brightness dimmed down...
