Problem with Wireless Internet Access

I've had problem with the wireless access in DC since yesterday. I was
able to attain an IP address and everything as follows (this is a
screenshot I made earlier today):

But I can not get to the authentication page at all. Ping reuslts
shown that I can not ping the DNS and gateway server (Request Time
Out).
I've tried to release and renew my IP several times but has no luck in
getting a connection. What I've noticed, however, is that I always get
the same IP (129.97.193.122), although I've set to obtain my IP
address and DNS Server address automatically and I was able to connect
without any problem in MC using wireless. Also, in both yesterday and
today, there were several other laptops nearby could connect to the
wireless without any problem and since it is a long weekend right now,
there are not so many people (hence laptops) in the DC, and apparently
no "overcrowding" of IP addresses.
I formatted my entire hard drive last night and brought the laptop
back again this morning, I've been trying for one whole day and the
same problem persists.
My Miniwet report shows that my laptop is running fine, although for
some reason I can not copy and paste the result for your reference.
I guess what may have happened is that for some reason, the DNS Server
did not terminate the DNS lease associated with my MAC Address
properly and now the DNS server constantly assign me to an IP address
that I've had before, which may no longer be valid. However, this is
just a very "unprofessional" guess.
I am really frustrated over this issue since I spend most of my time
in DC to study and I had an assignment due yesterday electronically
and I had to copy everything to my flash drive to upload it to UWACE.
I would appreciate if someone could help me out with this. My UW email

laptop is not being banned in DC for any reason :)), please do not
