Hello,

I purchase the complete upgrade last week for 179, and I have to say
that it was a bargain with all of the software that came with it.

Howver, does anyone feel that the package is quickly loosing its place
in the marketplace with free software such as scilabe being available?

I'll have to look at Scilab.

I've upgraded Mathcad every third version or so, and while it is 'a bargin',
it's not getting any easier to use. (I never really get up on the learning
curve.) I suspect that their real money is in the very expensive classes
where they teach you how to use the program.

By the way, their 'forums' are as dead as this one. I don't know where you
go for help now.

John

Got an offer today for an upgrade to version 12 for $299. Real Money!

All in all, I probably got the most use out of the copy of version 2 I
bought in Korea. Could have been legit; it had a nice manual.
