The ideal candidates shall have following characteristics:
Expertise in Java/J2EE technologies including: Java, Structs, JSP,
Javascript, AJAX, Hibernate.
Expertise in Web development using PHP, preferably with experience
in social-network related, high growth, high volume website (e.g. myspace,
flickr, wigix).
Experience in audio/video conferencing software development.
Thorough understanding of Web 2.0 concepts.
Familiarity with VB, ruby, PEAR, XML, Socket, Flash Actionscript,
HTML, SOAP, Macromedia Flex, ODBC, Perl, Shell, (at least one of MySQL,
SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle)
Familiarity with TCP/IP concepts, preferably with previous
Internet application development experience (Ideally CMS/CRM)
Familiar with Linux
Plentiful of passion, energy, smarts and trustworthiness
Salary is commensurate with qualification and experience. These two
positions are for a period of one year. However, shorter term commitments
(a minimum of one academic term) may also be considered.
