I would like to confirm that Automated testing for system tests is NOT
required for the demo. Professor has announced in class a couple of times
that the system tests should be done manually.

If that is all you have for your implementation, then it will be executed
manually. It was brought to Professor Kontogiannis' attention that some
groups had problems getting JUnit and threads to work, and he had approved
system tests to be run manually for those situations.

Hi,

Additionally, I'd like to point out that in the thread titled "Questions
for Project Part 2", Professor Kontogiannis specifically mentioned that
only JUnit or manual tests are required for system testing. Also, in
speaking with Dr. Lian today, he further gave us the impression that only
manual tests are expected for system testing.

So, are automated tests necessary, as stated in the demo guidelines? It
seems a little unreasonable to be stating this requirement only four
days prior to the due date.

Thanks,
Susanna

Sean, I'm confused by "If that is all you have for your implementation".
None of the posts, as far as I can tell, mentioned their specific
implementations. Can you clarify this please?

It was my interpretation that it was not necessarily because of threads.
We agreed our systems were too unsuited for it; that may or may not be
because of threads.

If it is only because of threads, please tell me if I need to apply for
permission to not do them manually, or if I can just make the decision
myself.
