In 7-26, each letter from {A, B, ..., L} is said to represent a
read/write quorum. Is a read quorum a server that agrees to a particular
read, and a write quorum is a server that agrees to a particular write?

I'm not understanding this example, so any additional information about
it would also be appreciated.

Thanks.

As mentioned in class, each letter represents one site.

See slides 7-25, 7-26.

I am afraid that you will need to ask specific questions
as it is not feasible to re-deliver class lectures, particularly on the
course newsgroup.
