For question 1 part 1.1 can we write the initialization code in C and
compile it to ARM?
I only mentioned ARM assembly because I think it's the easiest way
of being precise about exactly what's going on. As long as the
compiler output is easy to read it's fine with me if you do it as
you suggest.
