Students are required to:
- Write a calculator application using JAVA
- Using RIM's BlackBerry SDK with BlackBerry simulator
- That runs on a BlackBerry Handheld
Scores will be awarded to the following categories:
- Software Engineering/Design
- User Interface/Accessibility
- Correctness/Execution
- Performance/Speed/Resource Consumption
- Documentation/Uniqueness of design
Winner selection will based on the total score of 5 judges including
Senior Student Branch Executive, Engineering Faculty Staff, School of
Computer Science Staff, K/W IEEE Section Member, and Teaching Assistant
for technical correctness and fairness
Prize breakdown:
- 1 Grand winner @ $1500, on top of:
- 3 Branch winners @ $1250 each
- 3 Branch 1st runner up @ $500 each
- 3 Branch 2nd runner up @ $250 each

to the appropriate IEEE Student Branch executives
