Hello, so I'm having a very hard time drawing the state diagram, and
it's very frustrating since this is unrelated to the actual assignment
content, and is just a function of programs for drawing the state
diagram not being easy to use. Right now I'm using openoffice draw
but it's horrible since it tries to draw the lines connecting states
overlapping eachother. Magicdraw used to be what I used but it looks
like they're charging for their app now and I don't want to run into
frustrating demo issues if I get the trial.

At this point I'm tempted to just draw it by hand and scan it. Does
anyone know of a tool that is easy to use and will draw a state
diagram?

I used Google Documents, they added a drawing tool. It is not a
feature rich one, but it got the job done for this assignment. It's
free as long as you have a Google account.

Using pine... forgot about reply to both.

Try using the curved "connectors" (not lines) They help alot. I'm using
open office 3.1

Omnigraffle works wonders, but is only for Mac OS X.

Since nobody mentioned it, Dia is also a lovely GPL'd cross-platform
