I am writing this summary for my CS 100 class and I am going to write
about Internet addiction. The Internet has become a major part of
society and an important method of communication. I donšt know anyone
who doesnšt have the Internet in their own homes, young and old alike. I
feel like the Internet has many benefits however Internet addiction is
something that is starting to happen. People can get anything, or do
anything online, without even leaving their room. I found out last
night, you can even order a pizza online! How ridiculous is that??
Society as a whole is becoming more overweight and part of it is due to
the Internet. People can shop online, including groceries and clothes,
and they can also chat online with such things as MSN or ICQ. Although I
do use MSN myself to talk to friends who are at different universities
than myself; there are people who are addicted. Who are on it all the
time, and who believe that they can form friendships and relationships
with people they have never met. This type of Internet addiction can
turn dangerous if two people in a "relationship" decide to meet. I
personally think the Internet can be used for good, like talking to
friends and family in different locations, however I do also believe
that it should be used in moderation.

Miranda has made some good points here, especially about how the
internet should be used in moderation. Being the outdoorsy rec girl that
I am, I think that it's extremley important that people understand and
appreatiate the benefits of nature, and computers are taking many of us
away from the outdoors and locking us in our homes. The internet can be
a great thing but only if you know when to get off of it and go outside!
