hello!
i'm looking for a room near UW (or Waterloo Town Square) but location
is secondary, for September99->April00. my prime concern is
roommates. read on:
i'd like a room, preferably in a house, with some easy-going
roommates. i'd like roommates who aren't too quiet, and who don't
require silence all the time! 'ravers' are prefered, but certainly not
required. i do my studying at school, and when i do come home, i want
to be able to turn on some music, have a few people in and enjoy
myself. with most Waterloo students i've met, this just isn't possible
-- let's face it, most Waterloo students aren't what i would call "fun"
...
i'm in my final year of Electrical Engineering, so i do require to
study sometimes and won't be "partying" constantly. many of the people
i've lived with in the past are either graduated or will be off-stream,
and so i'm sending this message in search of the "perfect place" and
"perfect roommates" for September.
part of the reason i require a place that isn't quiet is that i'm a DJ,
and i need to practice often (although only during daylight hours).
for some, this may be an added bonus: i have a pair of Tehcnics 1200s
and a slew of trance records, and would be willing to share them with
any roommates who are interested in the hobby!
some of you may already know me -- i threw a house party in January
called the "EBF" over by Waterloo town Square .. i plan to throw a few
(not too many, but a few) parties of this type in any place i'm living
from September to April. for those of you who aren't familiar with the
party, it was an intimate house-party with DJs and about 50 great
people, fashioned after the underground parties i attended (and helped
organize) in San Francisco throughout most of 1998 (and this summer
too).
obviously the right roommates are of utmost important for this to
succeed! contrary to popular believe, location is not *as* important,
as long as the house is a "house" (not attached) and is made of BRICK
(like the houses along Columbia street for instance).
i'm very serious about finding the right place for September. if you
have a room available, know anybody who's interested in this kind of
arangement, or are just interested in finding a place with me yourself,
