I think I have - but then, of course, I've seen this movie several times.

I'll post a sequence when I have time. The key is to realise that Mima
Kirigoe was going mad. She was confused, and we are looking at everything
from her perspective. There are "real" scenes - then there are the "drama"
scenes - then there are "imagined" scenes... and perhaps there are more
kinds. All of this leaves some delicious uncertainty in the movie. For
example, who killed the photographer? Was it Mima, or was it Rumi? (The
movie is full of illusions!) In fact, who killed the producer? Was it the
Mimaniac? Rumi? Mima again?

Personally, I don't like too many of the music videos out there. I thought
that most themes which are adopted are too similar... for example, that
kissing video is nice, and the chosen imagery is put together in a
refreshing way. However, the theme is entirely overdone; I've seen at least
three videos on exactly the same theme, with slightly different music.

Hopefully I will be able to bring a copy of the Speed Racers vid (the very,
very best by far I've ever seen) to a show. It's very original, has
excellent production values, and dares to use a series that nobody thought
twice about (or even once about!)

It was probably only an exercise into the Absurd. :) Anybody have a better
exception? Any other favourite videos?
