Repetitive Strain Injury occurs when the same movement (bodily) is done
over an over , repeatedly many times to accomplish a task. Whether is
be typing on a computer keyboard or assembling parts and pieces at an
assembly line in a factory. Everyone needs to be aware of the hazards
of Repetitive Strain Injuries, as they are very painful when contracted
and there are no cures. A consequence of RSI could be permanent
disability and, "the inability to perform tasks, such as driving or
dressing themselves".

RSI does damage to tendons, nerves and even muscle tissue. Applying
unnecessary stress to your shoulders, arms and wrists can severely
cause, "Cumulative Trauma Disorder" (which is simply another term for
RSI). "Lack of adequate rest and breaks and using excessive force almost
guarantees trouble". Other diseases related to RSI are: Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome, Tendonitis, Bursitis, Tenosynotis, Trigger Finger, and Cubital
Syndrome, just to name a few.

Symptoms of RSI and the other diseases listed are: tightness, soreness,
tingles, burning in the forearms, elbow, discomfort etc. To prevent RSI
you need correct typing skills, the right equipment set up and good work
habits. For example: when typing, you should not rest your hands on
anything and shouldnšt bend your elbows or sown to the side. You should
eliminate unnecessary computer usage and take many breaks to stretch.
