Dear Citizens,

As you are aware that United Way of Mumbai is Official Third Party
Auditor of the MCGM's 'Clean - Up Mumbai Campaign'; we are looking
forward identifying chronic areas in 'A Ward' and coordinating with
concerned department at MCGM 'A Ward' office and ALMs, Citizens groups
and Residents' Associations towards keeping the identified areas
clean. Citizens in 'A Ward' are key players in these activities hence
their participation in these activities is also certainly essential.

Today (Thursday , 31/12/09) morning, a representative from United Way
of Mumbai (Mr. Sachin Bhanushali), Clean Up Marshal Spervisor (Mr.
Ashish Tiwari) and Ms. Jennifer Shetty (Strand Residents Association)
observed and mapped chronic areas in terms of cleanliness at Colaba,
'A Ward'

Following areas were observed at Colaba and were found to be unclean,
citizens are requested to refer the list and suggest other places that
they are aware of that can be added in the list,

1. Opposite Atur Apartment, Nyaymurti Devshankar Vyas Road,
Colaba,
2. Colaba fish market and vegetable market,
3. Azad Nagar, Lala Nigam Road, behind Colaba Bus Depot,
4. Sundar Nagar, Lala Nigam Road
5. Bora Cross Lane, Colaba
6. Daulatram Mension, Shahid Bhagatsing Road,
7. Sassoon Dock,

Other areas in 'A Ward' would be mapped in the following weeks,

Representatives ALMs, Citizens groups and Residents' Associationsos at
'A Ward' are requested to join the activity of mapping of chronic
areas in terms of cleanliness and support Clean - Up Mumbai Campaign
keeping our locality clean,

After such areas in 'A Ward' are enlisted, we would need to plan with
all the residents' association according the areas identified and a
particular association located nearest around the identified area
would be needed to monitor state of cleanliness of that area.

Looking forward partnering with you to make 'A Ward' a cleaner and
better place to live in,
